China News Service, Chongqing, February 27th (Zhang Xu) Chongqing Chengkou County to Kaizhou District Expressway (hereinafter referred to as Chengkai Expressway) Nanchanggou Bridge has a continuous rigid frame on the right side for 27 days. According to the Chongqing Expressway Engineering Consultant According to the company's introduction, according to the current construction progress, the left side of the bridge is expected to be closed in late April, helping the Chengkai Expressway to be fully connected.

The Nanchanggou Bridge spans Nanchanggou, a tributary of the Donghe River. The total length of the bridge is 570.5 meters, the highest pier of the bridge is 104.2 meters, and the main span is 200 meters long. It is the longest-span continuous rigid frame bridge on the entire Chengkai Expressway.

Since the main piers of the bridge are all on the cliff slope, in order to solve the problem of construction access, the project built a 375-meter construction tunnel and a 139-meter-long and 51-meter-high steel trestle bridge, avoiding the need to build a sidewalk on the bank slope. It not only reduces safety hazards, but also facilitates material transportation.

During the construction process, for the construction of the upper structure of the bridge, the project also innovatively adopted the secondary bottom protection measures of the bridge hanging basket.

The person in charge of the project construction management introduced that the secondary bottom protection can ensure the safe and normal driving of the road below the bridge during the construction period, and the bottom structure of the hanging basket can also provide a safety cover for the construction operators of the upper structure of the bridge.

At present, the Tanjia-Zhaojia section of Chengkai Expressway has been opened to traffic, the subgrade project of the Tanjia-Chengkou County section of Chengkai Expressway has been completed 74.7%, the bridge and culvert project has been completed 87%, and the tunnel project has been completed 93.2%. It is expected to be open to the city by the end of 2022. Kou County, Chongqing will also achieve "county-county expressway" by then.

After the Chengkai Expressway reaches Chengkou County, it will continue to advance to the Chongqing-Shaanxi boundary. It is expected to be completed and opened to traffic simultaneously with the Shaanxi section in 2026, opening up a direct and express inter-provincial channel between Shaanxi and Chongqing.
