Algeria: The arrest of a Moroccan sorcerer who threatened his victims by “imposing” the jinn on them

Algerian security arrested a Moroccan on charges of fraud, practicing witchcraft, divination, and illegal residence. He threatened the Algerians with murder and kidnapping, claiming that he harnessed the jinn against his victims who sought treatment for him.

The Algerian newspaper "Al-Shorouk" said that the latter resorted to using fraudulent methods to seize the victims' money in order to treat many incurable diseases such as cancer and infertility, and also tries, under threat and blackmail, to force women into romantic relationships with him in order to treat and get rid of magic.

The newspaper stated that the security operation enabled the seizure of many talismans of magic and sorcery, a mixture of unknown substances, liquids used in his activity, bones, hair and women's pictures.

According to a statement by the Security Directorate in Khenchela, the case refers to a security investigation that was initiated by the police regarding a complaint submitted by a 37-year-old woman regarding her being threatened and blackmailed by this 32-year-old fraudster, who was resorted to by her husband in order to treat infertility.

The complainant said that the antichrist claimed his ability to treat infertility and proceeded to carry out his "treatment classes", which he began with Quranic verses and spraying water around the house to leave after that and then ask them to continue the treatment process, but every time he recites incomplete Quranic verses without completing them as he does He muttered incomprehensible words to their ears, to inform them that they had been subjected to a magic that is difficult to decipher.

The victim adds that he told her that their treatment requires the payment of 20 million centimes, and after receiving the money from the spouses and being able to obtain the wife’s phone number, he threatened and blackmailed her in order to establish a romantic relationship with him, as it is the only way to treat according to his claim, and in the event of failure to respond to it He will kidnap and kill her.

According to "Russia Today", the charlatan was monitored and arrested at the level of the city of Khenchela, and he found in his possession scraps of paper written on talismans that are used in rituals of magic and sorcery, in addition to a sum of money, and a mixture consisting of several materials that the victims take to heal from the various diseases they suffer, according to his claim.

Several mobile phones, a set of SIM cards he uses to communicate with his victims, and pictures of women were also seized.
