The answer to reduce juvenile crime?

On the 26th, SBS 'I want to know' (hereafter 'Gal'), lit up juvenile crime with the subtitle 'Judgment of Juvenile - Two 'Crime and Punishment'.

Hyerin took her own life after suffering from cyberbullying.

The people who led Hyerin's cyberbullying were her friends, Nari and Yooseong.

They explained that their actions were a mere quarrel, but to Hyerin, it was not a simple quarrel.

In particular, Na-ri and her friends made it even more difficult for Hye-rin by stating that she had been sexually assaulted in the past.

In the end, Hyerin, unable to endure this, made an extreme choice the day she met Na-ri and her friends, and Hyerin's parents, who found out about this later, sued Na-ri and her friends.

Ms. Na-ri and her friends await the trial.

However, the court sent their case to the Family Court, where the victims' families collapsed.

But it didn't end there.

Na-ri and Yoo-seong caused another case a month after Hye-rin's case was sent to the Family Court.

In June of last year, Nari Yang and Yoo Seong-gun were involved in a group assault case of a motel confinement of a high school girl with intellectual disabilities, which aroused public outrage when it came up in a petition to the Blue House.

17-year-old Soyoung, who is grade 3 intellectually disabled, became close to Na-ri and Yooseong-gun through SNS.

His mother was delighted that her daughter had a friend.

However, from one day on, the attitude of Ms. Na-ri and her friends changed.

So-yeong said that she had cursed herself and asked her to apologize, and after that, So-yeong and his friends were no longer on equal footing.

And in June of last year, So-yeong was detained in a motel by Na-ri and her friends and was gang assaulted.

Ms. Na-ri and others lured So-yeong to a motel on the grounds that she was gossiping about them, and then mercilessly assaulted her for two hours.

And so that she couldn't report it, they took Soyoung's cell phone and even filmed the whole process on video.

So-yeong's mother who sued Na-ri and her friends.

While attending the trial, he witnessed the duality of Miss Na-ri and his friends and was terrified.

Rather than repenting outside the courthouse, Ms. Na-ri and her friends, who had been laughing and chatting, entered the courtroom and stood in front of the judge, crying and pleading for their own life.

In particular, Ms. Nari and her friends showed a confident attitude to the producers who contacted them to confirm their position, saying, "I have to talk. The trial is over, the judge granted punishment and the victims agreed. Why are you doing this now?"

The perpetrators say it's all over, but Hyerin's family and Soyoung and his family are still going through a painful time.

As a result, the victims also expressed their regret to the judiciary for not properly punishing the perpetrators.

Juvenile crimes are getting worse day by day.

As a result, public opinion is calling for stricter punishment for juvenile crimes.

In addition, the candidates for the 20th presidential election also revealed policies related to juveniles, which showed the level of interest in juvenile crime.

Experts agreed that strong punishment is not the only answer.

However, the juvenile law, which has not been revised for 69 years since its enactment in 1953, raised a voice that it needed to be revised to meet the current standards.

He also drew attention by adding that rather than lowering the age of juveniles by law, it was necessary to supplement the systemic gap and to improve the system so that the disposition according to the juvenile law could be properly implemented and effective.
