Guest on France Inter this Friday morning, Xavier Dolan spoke about the disappearance of Gaspard Ulliel, who died last January following a skiing accident.

“I think of him all the time, I think of him constantly in fact, he confided to Léa Salamé.

It is very early so it will take a lot of time to accept this departure.

It's inconceivable and then I often dream of him, I always think of him, I think of his family, I think of his son, I think of his talent, his beauty and then I'm actually going to pay homage to him.


The director and actor, nominated for the César for best actor in a supporting role for

Illusions Perdues

, made the trip to Paris to be able to pay tribute to Gaspard Ulliel during the ceremony this evening.

“The nomination, I appreciate it and I'm not going to say that it is useless for me but it is not the primary motivation for my trip here, I absolutely wanted to say things about Gaspard.

Not that I have the authority to do it but I had the desire to do it,” he explains.
