The Fair Trade Commission has issued a cease and desist order to the subsidiaries of major security companies, etc., saying that they have repeated collusion with more than 400 security contracts ordered by local governments in Gunma prefecture.

Six companies, including "North Kanto Sohgo Security Services" in Utsunomiya City and "ALSOK Gunma" in Maebashi City, received cease and desist orders.

The Japan Fair Trade Commission proceeded with investigations such as conducting on-site inspections at each company in September, and announced the results on the 25th.

According to this, since 2017 at the latest, the six companies have been repeatedly rigging to discuss and decide the winning bidder and the price over the bid for security work ordered by the local government of Gunma prefecture and the local agency of the country.

The number of contracts for which the contractor has been decided by bid rigging is 410, and the total amount is estimated to be about 1 billion yen.

The Fair Trade Commission issued a cease and desist order to six companies to prevent recurrence, and ordered four of them to pay a total surcharge of 14.8 million yen based on the order amount.

In addition to this, Niigata City's "SECOM Joshinetsu" also participated in the bid rigging, but since it voluntarily filed a declaration with the Fair Trade Commission and canceled the bid rigging, it is not subject to disposal.

Kita-Kanto Sohgo Security Services and ALSOK Gunma commented, "We will further strengthen our compliance system and thoroughly implement measures to prevent recurrence."
