Regarding the automatic operation of trains being developed by JR East due to concerns about a shortage of drivers in the future, a verification test has been conducted on the Yamanote Line from four years ago at midnight after the last train, but from this month on Sunday. JR East is aiming for practical application of autonomous driving on the Yamanote Line from 2025 to 2030.
