The government's subdivision for the new coronavirus countermeasures held on the 25th regarding the "vaccine / test package" that eases behavioral restrictions by proving negative in vaccinations and tests that have been suspended due to the expansion of Omicron strains. Discussions were held at the meeting, and it was decided to gather opinions on what kind of mechanism would be necessary to relax the restrictions in the future.

At the government subcommittee meeting held on the 25th, discussions were held on what kind of mechanism is needed to relax the restrictions after the booster vaccination has progressed.

At the meeting, from the government side, whether the application should be limited to those who received the third vaccination because the effect of the second vaccination is reduced with the Omicron strain, and if the person who can not be vaccinated is infected, it will be severe. Because of the risk concerns, he was asked to consider whether it was necessary to confirm the negatives of everyone on the spot, including those who had been vaccinated.

In addition, discussions were held on how to apply it to already infected people and children, and when the system should start, and experts said that the purpose of the system should be further clarified, and that additional vaccinations should be given. There was an opinion that a guideline should be set at the rate and the start time of the system should be considered.

In the future, the subcommittee will gather opinions, and after the meeting, Deputy Chairman Takaji Wakita of the subcommittee said, "As an expert, I would like to consolidate discussions with a sense of speed."
