Egyptian artist: "The killing of my brother in a suffocation with 13 stab wounds made me feel that Egypt did not belong to me."

Egyptian artist Ahmed Azmy said that his brother's death by 13 stab wounds made him feel that "Egypt did not belong to him."

Azmy talked about his 6-month imprisonment in Egypt, what he was exposed to after his release from prison, and the reasons for taking drugs.

He said during his interview with the media, Yasmine Ezz, on the "Kalam Al-Nas" program broadcast on MBC Egypt, that the period of 2011 and what followed was one of the most difficult periods in his life, as his younger brother was killed by 13 stab wounds due to a quarrel.

Azmy said: "What made me unable to face the world was the killing of my brother with 13 stab wounds, and it was a suffocation, so I felt that Egypt was not my thing, and I went to Sharm el-Sheikh and bought a chalet, and the loss of balance began to increase."

He continued: "Sharm El-Sheikh is a formed society, not like the one we live in, and I entered into a cycle of alcohol and drinking, and this is the beginning of any evil, so no one says I pray, I will drink some beer."

He added: "Because of that, my wife asked for khul', and she has the right, because she decided at this time to save my son, and the story increased until 2013, and there was an incident in 2012 and 2013. "The situation was not good, and we had a registered girl, and the issue grew and I remained blind to myself and was imprisoned for 6 months."

He also talked about the death of his mother and said that his mother was shocked by the death of his brother and the second shock was because of him after his addiction and imprisonment.

He also indicated that his mother died while she was satisfied with him, despite her suffering from a coma, but she smiled and pointed to him with her hand.
