The world-famous pianist Lang Lang performed 'Mom, noona', performed by his Korean wife, as an encore stage for his concert in Korea, which is becoming a hot topic.

On the 23rd, a recital of world-famous pianist Lang Lang (39) was held at the Seoul Arts Center Concert Hall.

She is known as the world's most expensive pianist, Lang Lang is best known to us as the pianist at the opening ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics.

Originally, Lang Lang could not follow the quarantine guidelines of '7-day quarantine' due to the scheduled schedule and was at risk of canceling the concert, but on the 4th, some changes to the quarantine guidelines for overseas arrivals allowed him to perform the schedule dramatically.

At the difficult recital in Korea, Lang Lang prepared a small gift for the Korean audience.

It was a piano performance of Korean and Chinese folk songs along with a duo performance with his wife.

Lang Lang played Bach's Goldberg Variations and Schumann's Arabesque for this performance and left, then returned to the stage with her wife Gina Alice and her to a huge encore applause.

Lang Lang's wife, Gina Alice, is a known Korean-German pianist.

The two grabbed the microphone and said, “Hello.

Thank you,” he said in Korean, raising the mood and playing Brahms' 'Hungarian Dance No. 5' together.

Then, her wife, Gina Alice, performed the Korean folk song 'Mom, Sister Ya' as a soloist.

She Gina Alice she had never performed her performance in Korea before, and this time she met the audience with her Korean folk songs at Lang Lang's encore stage.

She reinterpreted the song, familiar as a folk song, into a sad piano-rich melody, presenting a familiar and unfamiliar feeling to the Korean audience.

After her performance, Lang Lang said, “Her wife played a Korean song, so I'll play a Chinese song,” and she started playing 'Mori Hua'.

The song appeared as the theme melody in the opera 'Turandot' and is familiar to Chinese people.

Afterwards, the Lang Lang couple sat next to each other in front of the piano and played Brahms Waltz No. 2 to finish the encore stage, and while leaving the stage, they made a hand heart and gave a friendly farewell to the audience.

The audience who watched the performance responded positively by expressing the appearance of Lang Lang's wife and the performance of 'Mom, my sister' as a 'surprise gift'.

In an interview conducted the next day, Gina Alice revealed that she "learned (children's songs) from her mother when she was young," and then said, "She also listens to Korean nursery rhymes to her son who was born last year." They even hummed folk songs.

Meanwhile, Lang Lang is the only Asian country to hold a recital in Seoul, and after this recital, he will go on an American tour.

This is a 'news pick'.
