In Hamada City, Shimane Prefecture, students from a local fisheries high school sold processed seafood made during their training.

Due to the influence of the new corona virus, the sales event was held in the lobby of Hamada City Hall for the first time in two years outside the university, and 20 second-year students of the Hamada Fisheries High School Food Distribution Department used canned mackerel with plenty of local seafood. We sold 7 products such as dried overnight and dried horse mackerel.

When the product sold, the students shouted "Thank you" and handed the product with a smile.

As part of the lessons, students practice every year to process locally landed mackerel and horse mackerel into canned fish and dried fish.

The girl student said, "I was nervous because it was my first time, but I think it went well. I would like to continue selling it so that many people can eat it deliciously."

A man in his 70s who bought an overnight dried squid said, "I want to eat while drinking a drink. I think it's good to promote local products, so I want you to do your best."
