The Department of Research, Studies, Evaluation and Statistics (DREES) published a study this Wednesday on social inequalities in the use of vaccination against Covid-19.
Depending on the socio-economic situation...
According to the Dress survey, the vaccination rate varies according to the level of diploma, the socio-professional category, or even the level of income.
In July 2021, 70% of people without a diploma were vaccinated, compared to 79% among those with a diploma equal to or greater than a bac+5.
The gap is even greater depending on the profession: 65% of workers or former workers were vaccinated, against 83% of executives or former executives.
Finally, more than 30 points separate the use of vaccination by people belonging to the poorest 10% (55% vaccinated) from those belonging to the wealthiest 10% (88%) (graph).
And the migratory route of individuals
Similarly, immigrants from a country outside Europe and their descendants are less vaccinated than the adult population as a whole, respectively 59%, 53% and 72%.
These social inequalities in the use of vaccination are present regardless of the age or the state of health of the people.
