Burglars stole jewelry and valuables while filming Netflix series The Crown in South Yorkshire, England.

A report by the tabloid The Sun was confirmed by a spokesman for the streaming service on Thursday.

According to the police, the break-in into three vehicles happened on February 16.

However, the investigations have so far not been successful.

The case has therefore been shelved for the time being.

According to the "Sun" report, the burglars stole jewelry, chandeliers, silver cutlery and a replica of a Fabergé egg, among other things.

The value of the stolen props is therefore estimated at 150,000 pounds (around 180,000 euros).

The items would now be replaced, and the shooting is not expected to be disrupted, the Netflix spokesman said.

One hopes, however, that they would be found and brought back.

The fifth season of the successful series about the British royal family is currently being filmed.

The focus is on the unhappy marriage of heir to the throne Prince Charles and Princess Diana, who died in an accident in 1997 and is played by Australian actress Elizabeth Debicki.
