A SAR government spokesman said that considering the severe epidemic situation in Hong Kong and the continuous high number of daily new cases, it is necessary for the SAR government to further tighten social distancing measures in addition to implementing the "vaccine passport", reduce the flow of people as much as possible, and control the risk of community transmission. .

  The SAR Government has amended the Prevention and Control of Disease (Wearing of Masks) Regulation (Cap. 599I), starting from the 24th, anyone must wear a mask in any public place (including country parks) regardless of whether they engage in physical activity or not; On public transport (including ferries/kaitos) and in areas where the MTR has paid for fares, you are not allowed to take off your mask to eat or drink.

  For scheduled premises regulated by Chapter 599F, the existing social distancing measures will be extended for two weeks, the currently closed premises will remain closed, and the maximum number of persons per table for catering premises will be further tightened to two persons, together with the rest of the premises that are still allowed to operate. Premises listed in Chapter 599F, including shopping malls, department stores, markets, supermarkets, etc., will fully implement the "Vaccine Pass".

  Other existing measures, such as limiting group gatherings in public places to two people, prohibiting multi-household gatherings in private places involving people of more than two households, mask requirements, and cessation of all large events and avoidance of group gatherings, will continue implement.
