Poetry evening at Al Jalila Center for Child Culture

The evening presented beautiful poetry readings with Al Sahlawi, Al Hammadi and Al Dhahiri.

As part of the “Libraries Talk” series, the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) continues its cooperation with the Emirates Writers Union, Dubai Branch, in order to enrich the literary scene with various activities and events. It is directed by Emirati poet Mohammed Al Emadi.

The evening brings together creative young poets: Amal Al Sahlawi, Asma Al Hammadi, and Najat Al Dhaheri, who will deliver a selection of their poems to the audience.

The evening will be held on Thursday, February 24, from seven to eight in the evening.

It is noteworthy that the Emirati poet and writer Asma Al Hammadi holds a master's degree in language and literature, and has published two poetry books and two short story collections.

As for Amal Al-Sahlawi, she was raised in the Emirate of Sharjah and writes classical and free Arabic poetry.

And she finally released her first book of poetry (I Should Have Put You Off).

The poet Najat Al Dhaheri, from Al Ain, excels in writing both classical and Nabati poetry;

Al-Amoudi and Al-Tafee’ah, and she published several books between 2009 and 2020.
