According to statistics from the National Bureau of Statistics of China, from the successful bid for the Beijing Winter Olympics to October 2021, China has achieved the goal of "driving 300 million people to participate in ice and snow sports".
The number of people participating in ice and snow sports nationwide has reached 346 million, and the participation rate of residents has reached 24.56%. There are 654 standard ice rinks and 803 indoor and outdoor ski resorts in the country.
