The Ministry of Higher Education announced on Monday that it would release 5 million euros for the start of the school year in September for the Staps sector (Science and techniques of physical and sports activities), mobilized for two years to ask for more means to supervise its students. .

“As part of the 2022 strategic management dialogue, universities were invited to make known their specific needs for Staps courses.

On this basis, Frédérique Vidal, Minister of Higher Education and Research, has decided to allocate an envelope of 5 million euros in permanent payroll to meet these requests, ”wrote the ministry in a press release.

Thus, “establishments that have submitted a project will benefit from 1 to 3 additional positions.

At the national level, 80 additional positions in the Staps courses will be financed for the next academic year", he continues, welcoming "exceptional support, exceeding the initial commitment of 3 million euros, which is in addition to the financing of additional places already implemented since 2017”.
