The body of a dolphin was discovered by walkers this Sunday morning on a beach in Plonévez-Porzay (Finistère) in the bay of Douarnenez.

The previous days, the site had already been the scene of the stranding of numerous micro-plastic waste, including marbles nicknamed “mermaid's tears”.

The presence of this debris is explained by the intensity of the wind and the tides observed recently.

The corpse of the mammal is intact

A similar pollution had occurred at the beginning of January, recalls

.

The weather conditions were then comparable.

The body of the dolphin showed no trace of injury.

The tide appears to have carried the small animal to the area of the beach below the parking lot.

Again, a comparable event took place on January 12 on another beach in the same town.

A specialist from the Pelagis network will evacuate the body of the dolphin and analyze it.

Before these operations, it is recommended that humans and pets stay away from it.
