【Live sound】Hong Kong taxi driver Lin Guiming

I have been driving for almost 20 years and taxis (driving) for about 10 years.

[Commentary] Skilled movements and sophisticated driving skills, this day is a special day for Hong Kong's "brother" Lin Guiming.

He wants to join a "love anti-epidemic team" to provide voluntary pick-up and drop-off services for Hong Kong medical staff under the epidemic.

This morning, Lin Guiming wiped the car clean early in the morning, waiting to pick up the first batch of medical staff.

Because the epidemic has been more than two years, and this year is getting worse and worse, in fact, we all know that there are some (taxi) masters who are not very willing to pick up some medical staff, or passengers who are going to the hospital are not willing to take them .

But we don't really want to see these things.

We do as much as we can.

Now that there is this activity, we can serve the medical staff again, which is very good, no problem.

[Explanation] The fifth wave of the epidemic in Hong Kong is fierce, which has an impact on the production and life of Hong Kong citizens.

Passengers have decreased and income has plummeted. In the view of "brother" Lin Guiming, the increasingly severe epidemic not only brings burdens in life, but also psychological pressure.

Especially if you feel a little uncomfortable, you will be very scared.

I kept thinking about (whether I was diagnosed), because there are still children at home, life has changed, and there are many fewer guests.

The usual income must be less and the pressure on everything has increased.

[Explanation] Although full of worry and anxiety, Lin Guiming insists on getting out of the car every day.

Talking about the original intention of participating in the "Love Team", Lin Guiming said that he was deeply touched by the experience of carrying medical personnel, so he decided to come out and fight side by side with the front-line anti-epidemic personnel.

Because I have picked up medical staff before, and I have to work shifts, sleepless hours, and fight the virus before, I really feel that they are very hard, so we have to fight side by side with them.

Frankly speaking, I also have relatives who work in the hospital, and we all feel the same way.

So I am very supportive of (medical staff), because without medical staff, I think the consequences in Hong Kong may be more serious.

The medical staff are not afraid, and we are not afraid. The medical staff has been serving us on the front line. We have to fight side by side with them, and we can do as much as we can.

[Explanation] With the arrival of medical teams and supplies from the central government in Hong Kong in the past few days, Lin Guiming admitted that these support measures have given Hong Kong people more confidence and confidence.

As a young man in Hong Kong, he also hopes to contribute to the fight against the epidemic in his own way.

I think the central (medical) facilities, equipment and personnel are very experienced.

We really agree that the central government helps us, and the central government's support makes us more confident.

As a "post-80s", I am young and strong now, and I really want to do something small for Hong Kong.

In fact, there are many elderly people who sometimes want to do what they may not be able to do. The most important thing for young people is to do more things. I hope the epidemic will pass soon.
