Details of the first report against Ibrahim Issa..accusations of contempt for Islam and spreading false news

Lawyer Fahmy Bahgat submitted the first communication to the Egyptian Attorney General, Hamada El-Sawy, demanding that an investigation be opened with Ibrahim Issa, the journalist, on accusations of "disrespecting the Islamic religion, denying its principles, and spreading false news."

According to the Egyptian government newspaper, Al-Ahram, the statement stated that “Ibrahim Issa used to attack and insult the imams of the Muslims and the Companions, led by Imam Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, Omar bin Al-Khattab, Abdullah bin Abbas, Al-Bukhari, Al-Shaarawi and others. their traditions and customs and tarnish their image in society.”

And the statement continued, "Ibrahim Issa claimed that Ramadan fasting has no benefit other than that it is a sovereign decision from God in a grave abuse of the divine, and Issa used to repeatedly abuse and challenge the principles of the Islamic religion without any accountability or legal accountability."

The communication said that the latest of these abuses was the denial of the journey of Isra and Miraj, which was mentioned in the Holy Qur’an, with the aim of questioning it and the sayings of the Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him. By referring a copy of the investigations to the Illicit Profit Authority to examine the financial disclosure of the journalist Ibrahim Issa and ask him about its sources and how they were acquired.
