“The father of Arnaud B., policeman on the run and suspected of the murder of his companion, spoke on BFMTV, asking his son to stop his run.

“If you see me, if you hear me, if you see this message, I ask you to go to the nearest police station or gendarmerie without delay,” he begs.

The policeman's father continued on television: “I also ask the people who were able to help you in this useless escape to come forward as quickly as possible too (…) Do it for Amanda, for her parents, her family, we need to know”.

He also explains that he met his son's companion on several occasions, calling her "a ray of sunshine, always smiling, adorable".

Referring to his son, he speaks of a man who can be "a bit possessive", who "has never been angry".

His car found in Amiens

The lifeless body of Amanda G., his partner, was found in the bathroom of the suspect's home on January 28, when police went to his apartment, alerted by Arnaud's failure to take up his post. B. Since then, the 29-year-old man has been on the run.

On February 10, the policeman made a bank withdrawal of 1,500 euros in Breteuil, in the Oise, a town located about a hundred kilometers from the capital.

The same day, a call for witnesses was launched by the Paris police headquarters.

Two days later, the car mentioned on the search notice was recognized by a local resident "in the Burger King parking lot in Amiens-Sud", according to a source familiar with the matter.

Arnaud B.'s service weapon and ammunition were inside this vehicle.
