It is an exhibition that is already a great success.

Inaugurated a few days ago, the exhibition "Venice the Serenissima" can be discovered in Bordeaux in the former submarine base of the city, built by the Nazis.

A place of war that has become a temple of culture for digital immersions, like this one.

The immersive exhibition "Venice, the Serenissima" offers a journey through the city of Venice and invites you to discover its treasures.

Make way for wandering among the works, a stroll over several centuries, an animation that takes us through the doors of Saint Mark's Basilica in Venice, except that all this does not take place in Italy but in Bordeaux.

"It's super immersive, for children it's great, it's worth it!"

exclaims Charline's mother.

A journey through the city

Little Charline and her mother are amazed after this immersive digital trip to Venice, discovering the Grand Canal or the Doge's Palace, in an explosion of images projected on the floors and walls of the former submarine base, where the basins that housed the sinister German U-Boats today reflect a thousand colors of this magical exhibition.

"The goal is really to project very high resolution images everywhere, whether on the walls, on the ground, sublimated by the reflection of the water, just like in Venice", says Humbert Vuatrin, the director of the site.

"As a result, it will give this movement and this particular color to this immersive exhibition."

"We have certain passages of Byzantine art from the 12th century when we enter Saint Mark's Basilica, a series of paintings which will go from the 15th to the 18th, then to a passage also by Turner, Monet, Signac until the seventh art with the Mostra del Cinema", he explains.

A hundred video projectors and more than 80 specialized sets are planned for this magical dive in Venice which attracts more than 2,000 visitors every day.

An exhibition to see until January 2023.
