His favorite quote:

“I made the craziest decision of my whole life, the most desperate too: …”

Why this book?

  • Because everything is linked in this novel, with a very visual

    and cinematographic writing.

You really feel like you're in the middle of the action.

Nicolas Nutten himself says that to write a scene, he needs to be totally immersed in it: "I need to see the place, know the nooks and crannies, feel if it's cold or hot, hear the rain who fall.

By combining the place and the atmosphere, this allows, in my opinion, to create realistic atmospheres that are easily visualized.

And even though he has no experience in screenwriting, he tells me that he would love to try it.

  • Because in this thriller, which I would almost qualify as a choral novel

as we advance in the plot from the point of view of many characters, at first glance, we wonder what the links between each one might be, then slowly, with a very addictive and entertaining pen, the author makes us understand what could have happened.

Finally makes us understand, that's what we believe!

Because over the course of the story, several surprises emerge, impossible to detect and I love the way the author plays with us.

  • Because the "creepy" atmosphere of the novel is reminiscent of

certain cases that we see spinning on our screens.

For Nicolas Nutten, these miscellaneous facts are sources of inspiration that allow him to shape scenes and enrich the past of certain characters by anchoring them in our reality: "Miscellaneous facts are a reflection of our society, they reflect our image without filter, in what it believed most, sometimes most terrible", he says.

  • Because I loved every character in this story, even the worst ones,

with their faults, weaknesses and flaws.

We feel that the author has not finished with some of them, we can imagine that there are still so many things to say about them.

And the author confirms (to my greatest satisfaction): "During the writing, I became very attached to my characters and indeed, several of them will come back, but in different stories in order to give them even more square.

An addictive and gripping thriller.

I warmly thank Nicolas Nutten for taking the time to answer my questions.
