At the farms in Nagano City, the sheep birth season has begun, and cute babies are being born one after another.

Shinshushinmachi, Nagano City is known as one of the prefecture's leading sheep-producing regions, and this ranch raises more than 150 "Suffolk" sheep with black faces and legs.

The birth season is from winter to spring, and about 70 sheep have been born since the middle of last month.

Of these, the newborn baby on the 17th still had an umbilical cord, and while it was snowing, he was cuddling with his mother and trying to drink milk, showing a cute appearance.

It is expected that about 5 more animals will be born at this ranch by the end of this month.

Mr. Shogo Katsurakawa, who is in charge of breeding, said, "This year there are many twins and the lamb is cute. I want you to grow up well without any illness."

The sheep are scheduled to graze around May.
