Good news for fishermen and seafood lovers: the Hérault prefecture lifted the ban on the harvesting and marketing of clams from the Thau pond on Wednesday evening, after "favorable results" from 'analyzes.
It was the last shellfish in the lagoon subject to a ban, after the lifting of measures concerning mussels and oysters on February 7.
All the shellfish in the pond can therefore now be consumed without restriction, indicates the prefecture.
On January 21, due to the presence of toxins, their harvesting and marketing had been suspended by the State services.
