In an interview with the Spanish radio channel Cope, the Spanish furniture manufacturer Vicente Zaragozá claimed a few days ago that he had built the large conference table in the Kremlin.

Seeing Russian President Putin and French President Emmanuel Macron sitting at the table made him "emotional," he said in the interview.

According to The Telegraph, another furniture manufacturer, Renato Pologna in northern Italy, now claims that it was his family business that created the table.

He says he does not understand at all what Vicente Zaragozá is talking about.

- We are the ones who built the table, he claims.

Must have built the table in 1995

Renato Pologna says that his family business built the table back in 1995 when Boris Yeltsin was president of Russia.

The company is also said to have manufactured more furniture and interiors for the Presidential Palace in the Kremlin.

Renato Pologna also says that he knows that the table weighs 350 kilos.

Vicente Zaragozá counters by saying that the table is made of a type of wood that grows in the Alps, in the shade.

His company is said to have manufactured furniture for the Kremlin between 2002 and 2006.
