Neneh Cherry broke through overnight with the super hit Buffalo stance in 1989 and the album debut Raw like sushi came the same year.

- Neneh Cherry's mix of hip hop and dance music with a punk attitude captured the time perfectly, says Per Sinding-Larsen.

Since her debut, she has released five more solo albums, the latest of which, Broken politics, came in 2018.

- She has liked to move across genres and go where her heart leads her.

It is not a hunt for new top list successes, says Per Sinding-Larsen.
