In Saint-Laurent-de-la-Salanque (Pyrénées-Orientales), there has been consternation since the deadly fire of the night from Sunday to Monday.

Solidarity is organized to help the victims and in particular a 5-year-old child, deprived of his toys and stuffed animals.

As relayed by France Bleu Occitanie, Eden's father has launched a call for help on Facebook to find soft toys similar to those of his son.

The little boy had to leave his apartment in a hurry because of the fire.

He therefore left behind his two favorite stuffed animals, representing Mickey and Marcus (Pat Patrol).

Since then, Eden, taken care of in the rural home of the town, could no longer sleep.

But thanks to the mobilization of Internet users, the child received a large number of toys and new comforters.

Eight dead, including two children

Eight people, including a baby and a two-year-old child, died in the fire of three adjoining buildings in Saint-Laurent-de-la-Salanque, located about twenty kilometers from Perpignan.

An investigation was opened but the explosion and the fire seriously weakened the walls and floors of the buildings.

Securing the premises delays the investigations.
