On the afternoon of the 17th, a man in his 80s was found to have fallen in a river in Echizen Town, Fukui Prefecture, and died about an hour later.

A forklift was also found near the scene, and police are investigating the situation in detail as if it was an accident during snow removal.

After 2:30 pm on the 17th, the family found that Yoshio Mukai (82), a self-employed person living nearby in Enami, Echizen-cho, had fallen into the river and reported it to the police.



Mukoto was immediately rescued and taken to the hospital, but was confirmed dead approximately an hour later.



According to police, Mr. Mukai did not return in the morning, telling his family that he was going to remove snow, and found a forklift that had fallen into the river near the fall site.



For this reason, police are investigating the situation in detail, assuming that the forklift accidentally fell into the river during snow removal work.

One man injured in Fukui Ono

Around 2:00 pm on the 17th, a 74-year-old man who had been snowing the roof of his house fell to the ground 2.5 meters below in Ono City, Fukui Prefecture, and suffered serious injuries such as breaking his ribs.
