In December 2021, the Pingdingshan Intermediate People's Court ruled in the first instance that the defendant Li Guosheng was guilty of intentional homicide, the crime of picking quarrels and provoking trouble, and the crime of assaulting a police officer.
After the sentence was pronounced, the defendant Li Guosheng refused to accept and appealed.
After a public hearing, the Henan Provincial High Court held that the appellant, Li Guosheng, had no laws of the country, was drunk, acted arrogant, and recklessly destroyed public and private property with an excavator.
