An Egyptian divorces his wife for an unimaginable reason

An Egyptian young man filed the strangest divorce lawsuit against his wife before the Family Court in the Fifth Settlement in Cairo, justifying his request, "My wife drinks bananas with milk all day, and her weight increases every day."

The 30-year-old husband, who works as a hotel employee, said in his lawsuit: "She married a young woman (22 years old) in a traditional marriage because she is the daughter of the neighbours, and just by exchanging looks, she felt that she wanted to marry, so we talked about the presence of the parents, and she was convinced of her cheerful and condemning personality."

He added, "I lived with her the most beautiful days of my life and my joy was complete after I learned of my wife's pregnancy, but she fell off the stairs and aborted the child."

The husband added: "A quarrel occurred between us because of her extra and strange expenses and her weight gain. She drinks bananas with milk every day. I tried to convince her to eat small amounts and at intervals, but she thought at the time that I was stingy."

The husband remembers the moment of the end, in which he decided to end their marriage: "I entered my wife in the kitchen and found her eating in a strange and unreasonable way, so I spoke to her, but she did not accept it, and at that time I beat her, threatened and expelled her from the apartment."

Attempts to reconcile between them later failed, so the husband resorted to filing a divorce case for harm, which is still pending.
