On the morning of the 16th, a house was burnt down in Nerima-ku, Tokyo, and two people were found dead in the burnt remains.


The Metropolitan Police Department believes that the deceased woman is a woman in her 80s and her son in her 50s, and is proceeding with confirmation of their identities and investigating the cause of the fire.

According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department and the Tokyo Fire Department, after 8:30 am on the 16th, a female voice called 119 at a house in Shakujiimachi, Nerima-ku, saying, "The futon is burning in the house."



Twenty-one fire trucks went out to extinguish the fire, and the fire was almost extinguished after about two and a half hours, but about 70 square meters of a wooden one-story house was completely burned down, and two people were found dead in the burnt remains.



According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, after the fire, the two women in their 80s and their son in their 50s who live in this house have lost contact.



The Metropolitan Police Department considers these two people to have died and is proceeding with confirmation of their identities and is investigating the cause of the fire in detail.



The site is a densely populated area about 1 km northwest of Shakujii Koen Station on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line.
