Duan Yubao: At that time, we conducted an audition for the role of "baby". A total of nearly 1,000 children participated in the selection. In the end, we chose Su Yiming.
The role of "baby" itself needs to have the temperament of some urban children. Su Yiming and many other children have this kind of temperament, but what makes him different from other children is his eyes, which has a "struggle".

Duan Yubao: We were shooting in summer, which lasted for about two months. Sometimes, in order to have a suitable shooting light, we would start work at three or four in the morning, and sometimes end at eleven or twelve in the evening.

Duan Yubao: Our earliest filming was actually the ending part of the movie.
There happened to be a music festival at that time, and we needed to use the venue of the music festival. That part was the part where Su Yiming sang to his mother offstage on the stage of the music festival.
