Regional rail traffic will be very disrupted between Thursday evening and Saturday morning in New Aquitaine, due to the resumption of the signalmen's strike.

The SNCF thus announces that “TER traffic will be interrupted from Thursday after 8:30 p.m. in Bordeaux” and there will be almost no TER traffic until Saturday morning.

⚠ A regional social movement of switchers will strongly disrupt the #TERNA network from Thursday 17/02 evening until Saturday 19 morning.

“Friday, the transport plan will make it possible to maintain part of the TGV traffic between Paris and Bordeaux, Toulouse, Hendaye and Tarbes”, continues the SNCF.

But that will be about all.

“Saturday before 8 a.m., no train will run in Bordeaux and adaptations are to be expected for TGV, Intercités and TER traffic.

Full traffic will resume from 8 a.m.

“Strong measures on employment” requested

“The many exchanges and conciliation and negotiation meetings held to date have not led to an agreement and the lifting of the notice, indicates the SNCF.

The company deeply regrets this situation and the inconvenience it causes.

»

The CGT-Cheminots indicates for its part that "the agents are asking for strong measures on employment since, to date, 36 jobs are vacant (insured somehow by each other) and 22 more are necessary in order to to provide quality public service.

This is the third mobilization of the unions on this subject.

“Without a resumption of negotiations on concrete bases, a fourth act of mobilization will have to be considered” warns the CGT.
