February 15th is the traditional Chinese Lantern Festival. The Wangxiangu Scenic Spot in Shangrao, Jiangxi Province is very lively when night falls. People raise the bench dragon lanterns and use the most lively folk activities to fill the festive atmosphere of the Chinese New Year.
The dragon lantern is a popular traditional entertainment activity among the local people during the first lunar month. Every household in the village sends representatives to participate.
Ying Deng, the homophonic pronunciation is Ying "ding", each household in the village sends a strong man to join the Ying Deng team.
There are 250 bench dragon lanterns in Wangxiangu, with a total length of nearly 600 meters. People hold bench dragon lanterns, beat gongs and drums, and walk through the village canyons. Wherever they go, men, women and children go out to admire the lanterns, warmly greet them, and pray for the New Year.
