Egypt... The decision to stop Omar Kamal from singing is irreversible

Ahmed Ramadan, Secretary General of the Musicians Syndicate in Egypt, said: "The decision to stop singer Omar Kamal and refer him to investigation is irreversible."

He added, "Captain Hani Shaker should not be a subject for speech in this way," commenting on the broadcast in which Omar Kamal appeared and attacked Captain Hani Shaker.

He explained that Omar Kamal has the right to attend the investigation and present his point of view before the Council, noting that the decision to stop is a precautionary decision because Kamal holds a permit and not a membership.

Yesterday, Tuesday, the Egyptian Musical Professions Syndicate, headed by artist Hani Shaker, decided to stop the popular festival singer, Omar Kamal, from singing after statements against the union and the captain of musicians.

The newspaper "Al-Masry Al-Youm" quoted the union's legal advisor, Saad Metwally, that the Council of the Syndicate of Musical Professions, headed by artist Hani Shaker, had decided to stop singer Omar Kamal after his statements on satellite channels.

Metwally confirmed that the singer Kamal had made statements attacking Captain Hani Shaker, explaining that Omar would be suspended until a date is set for investigation with the Syndicate of Musical Professions in the coming days.

The union’s legal advisor, Saad Metwally, stated that “Omar Kamal appeared on Live, to talk about the Syndicate of Musical Professions and Captain Hani Shaker, incorrectly, and therefore the union decided to take all legal measures against Omar in the coming days.”
