The preliminary figures of the survey results conducted by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare last December on how many people have antibodies against the new coronavirus obtained by infection and vaccines were announced, and it was as high as around 95% in various places. I understand.

However, it is not known if there is enough immunity to prevent infection and aggravation.

When you are infected with the new corona or vaccinated, antibodies are produced, so you can tell if you have been infected or vaccinated in the past by examining the amount of antibodies in your blood.

Last December, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare released preliminary results of antibody tests conducted on more than 8,000 people in five prefectures, including Tokyo and Osaka.

According to this, the percentage of people who had antibodies indicating infection was 2.80% in Tokyo, 3.78% in Osaka, 1.18% in Miyagi, 1.58% in Aichi, and 1.45% in Fukuoka.

In Tokyo, Aichi and Fukuoka prefectures, the cumulative number of infected people at the time of the survey was almost the same as the percentage of the population, while in Osaka prefecture it was 1.48 points and in Miyagi prefecture it was 0.47 points higher.

In addition, the percentage of people who had another antibody obtained by vaccination or infection was 96.9% in Tokyo, 94.6% in Osaka, 97.2% in Miyagi, 95.8% in Aichi, and 96.9% in Fukuoka. It was getting higher.

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare says that the amount of antibody needed to prevent infection and aggravation is unknown, and it is not known whether immunity is sufficiently induced.
