Wearing a mask indoors will not be compulsory in nightclubs which reopen on Wednesday after ten weeks of closure, but it remains recommended for customers and staff within establishments, according to the protocol published by the government.

Governed by this protocol, access to discotheques, clubs and dance bars is "conditioned on the presentation by customers of a valid vaccination pass", according to the text posted online Tuesday by the Ministry of the Economy, which specifies that these establishments can accommodate the number of customers authorized under normal operating conditions.

Drinking standing allowed, ventilation recommended

Customers can place their order "at the counter or at the table", standing consumption is authorized, the cloakroom is open, and contactless payment methods - prepayment, bank transfer, bank cards, QR code... - must be preferred, further specifies the protocol.

In particular, this commits professionals to "ventilate the premises by natural or mechanical ventilation in working order, doors and/or windows open as much as possible, ideally permanently if conditions allow it and at least 10 minutes every hour". .

It also asks to "promote the measurement of carbon dioxide", to ensure a satisfactory renewal of air.

The provision of hydroalcoholic gel, the disinfection of shared equipment (door handles, stair railings, tables, counters, elevator buttons, taps, switches, etc.) or even "the invitation to download and activate the application All Anti Covid” are also recommended.

The vaccine pass lifted at the end of March?

The valid vaccination pass consists either of a vaccination certificate (complete vaccination schedule, booster dose within the time limit), or a certificate of recovery (positive test for Covid-19 for more than 11 days and less than 4 months) or even a certificate of contraindication to vaccination, specifies this text.

Nearly two years after the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, some anti-Covid restrictions will disappear on Wednesday, as the government considers lifting the vaccination pass for the end of March or the beginning of April – in the wake of Israel, the England or Denmark – thanks to a “very marked improvement” in the health situation.

Thus, eating popcorn in a cinema, a sandwich in a stadium or a train, or even having a drink standing at the counter of a bar will again be possible.
