A grandfather who believes in himself

Kev Adam was seven years old when his mother took him to see

Titanic

at the Grand Rex cinema.

In front of the emotion of the spectators and the talent of the young Leonardo DiCaprio, Kev Adams is convinced: he wants and will become an actor.

"

Titanic

is still one of the greatest films in history today," he said.

Her mother explains to her that she does not know anyone in the cinema world and her grandmother repeats to her that it is not a profession.

But the young Kev Adams can count on his grandfather.

This Charlie Chaplin fan pushes him to believe in himself and teaches him to mimic certain gestures, such as drinking coffee.

This same grandfather pushes him at the age of nine on the stage of the Casino de Paris, at the end of Dany Brillant's concert, while everyone is dancing in the room.

"It was a crazy moment in my childhood," recalls Kev Adams.

"My grandfather carries me and puts me on stage. While the guy is singing!"

Castings from the age of seven

At that age, Kev Adams is already going to castings, which he has been going to every Wednesday and Saturday afternoon since the age of seven.

Without success.

Until he landed a small role at the age of 9 in the film

Always Run

by Dante Desarthe.

"I had a splinter on the set of this film, it was hell," says Kev Adams.

"It was the best day of my life (finally I'm filming!) and I'm taking a fucking stick in the foot! But it was very cool."

Growing up, Kev Adams uses cassettes and DVDs of shows by Jamel Debbouze, Franck Dubosc and Gad Elmaleh, his idol.

At 16, he began to write little sketches which he performed in front of his friends and which he filmed.

Among these first attempts, a sketch on the tecktonik which will be a few years later his first success.

"The humiliation" of a Renault competition

At the same time, Kev Adams involved his family in the filming of an advertisement for a competition organized by Renault.

"It was a disaster, we were massacred and humiliated in the competition", laughs today Kev Adams.

"We shot a film which was of mediocre quality, but which is an extraordinary memory for us. We posted our film on the Renault platform, and we didn't even make it into the top 50 or the top 100 of the selection. I think our film finished 1800th!"

But the apprentice humorist does not give up and begins to perform in open scenes.

With some ambition.

“When there was a comedian who was funnier than me and who got more laughs, I went to see him and asked him when and where he would play again next time” reveals Kev Adams.

"I was going back to where he was playing, with a sketch that I had reworked, to try to be stronger than him."

Tour of Paris with Bar Refaeli

After an express one-day stint in law school, things are accelerating for the comedian.

He joined Laurent Ruquier's show

On n'demande qu'en rire

, created the

Soda

series and starred in the Franco-Israeli comedy

Kidon

, alongside Tomer Sisley and Bar Refaeli in particular.

Kev Adams then nurtures a little crush on the Israeli actress and model.

After the shooting, the latter does not forget her filming companion.

"When she came to Paris, she called me and asked me what we were going to do," explains Kev Adams.

"I had my little 50cc scooter, I picked her up at her eight-star hotel and we drove around Paris. He was a very good friend."

Projects and successes then follow one another for Kev Adams, giving birth to the career that we have known for him for 12 years now.
