It's D-Day. If you haven't taken your booster dose, your pass will be deactivated today.

To maintain a valid vaccination pass, the booster dose of vaccines against Covid-19 must be carried out no later than four months after the end of the initial vaccination schedule, except for those who have contracted the disease since then.

The maximum period for recall was up to now seven months.

Four million French people concerned

First scenario, your second injection dates from before October 15 and you have not yet made your reminder: your vaccination pass is deactivated this Tuesday.

Second scenario: you only have one dose of vaccine, but you have contracted the virus: one infection is equal to one injection.

So you now have four months after your infection to do your booster dose.

With one exception: young people aged 16 and 17, who are not obliged to take this third dose to keep their vaccination pass.

Finally, the certificate of recovery that you obtain in the event of an infection is only valid for four months compared to six previously.

Please note, if you only have one dose of vaccine and this certificate, and you wish to travel abroad during this four-month period, you will still have to take your booster dose in order to be able to leave.

According to health authorities, the vaccination pass of nearly four million French people will be deactivated today.

A lifting of the pass planned for the end of March

But these rules could be modified soon, a lifting of the vaccine pass being possible "by the end of March" or the beginning of "April", estimated Wednesday Alain Fischer, the "Mister vaccine" of the government.

Provided that the incidence rate turns out to be "10 or 20 times lower" than at present, that the hospital overload is coming to an end and that a very high proportion of French people are vaccinated, according to him.

In the meantime, as of Wednesday, a new salvo of restrictions must disappear with the reopening of nightclubs or the authorization of standing concerts and consumption at the counter in bars.
