Three people, including a parent and child who run a food processing company in Shizuoka City, were arrested by the police on suspicion of violating the Unfair Competition Prevention Law, alleging that they sold products using foreign wakame seaweed under the guise of "Naruto" in Tokushima Prefecture. I did.

Three people were arrested, including Shigehide Ogawa (80), the president of Aoi Ward, Shizuoka City, who runs a food processing company, and Ryo Ogawa (36), the second son and officer.

According to the police, in early November last year, the three people said that they sold a product processed using foreign wakame seaweed at a factory in Suruga Ward to a fishery company in Shizuoka City, pretending to be "Naruto", and violated the Unfair Competition Prevention Law. There is a suspicion of violating the Food Labeling Law.

In July last year, the police were conducting an investigation after receiving information from Shizuoka City and the prefecture.

According to police, wakame seaweed disguised as from Naruto was suspected to have been sold at supermarkets, retail stores, and more than 400 stores nationwide through more than 30 wholesalers inside and outside Shizuoka prefecture. I'm going to find out more about the story.

Police have not disclosed the approval or disapproval of the three.
