"Fire swing kamakura" is a traditional event of the First Full Moon that is handed down in Kakunodatemachi, Semboku City.



Due to the spread of the new coronavirus, the experience events for tourists and the behavior of amazake were canceled, and only local residents participated in the event at 21 locations in the town.



In the Iwase district, where the snow-covered rice fields were the venue, the residents lit a charcoal bale with a rope tied to a length of about 1 meter, and then held the rope in their hands and swung around their bodies. ..



While making a crackling noise, the inhabitants swung vigorously until the fire of the charcoal bales burned out, and prayed for the safety of the family for a year and the abundance of five grains.



A 6-year-old girl who was touring nearby said, "It was hot but fun. She wants to turn herself someday."



Mitsuto Kato of the Iwase District Preservation Society said, "We prayed for the health of the local people and the convergence of the corona. When the corona calms down, we would like to do it more grandly with the tourists." I did.
