After a weekend that was sunny in many places, it will be uncomfortable again this week.

Clouds, which repeatedly bring rain from the west, dominate the weather, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced on Monday in Offenbach.

In the second half of the week it will be stormy, with hurricane gusts to be expected on the coasts and in the mountains.

With westerly currents, mild sea air is brought into the country, so that the temperature during the day is often in the two-digit range.

"There is still no sign of an onset of winter in the lowlands," says the DWD.

According to the information, the rain on Tuesday night in the south-east of the country can lead to dangerous black ice on some of the still frozen ground.

During the day the sky is changing to very cloudy, in the afternoon there are partly larger loosenings.

According to the forecasts, there will be individual showers in the middle and in the south.

In the evening there will be more rain in the north-west.

The temperatures reach highs between 5 degrees on the edge of the Alps and 11 degrees on the Rhine and in parts of eastern Germany.

From the night of Wednesday it will rain more heavily, in the mountains it will also last longer.

There is a risk of continuous rain in some areas, which can cause smaller rivers and streams to swell, as the DWD explains.

On Wednesday it will be mostly cloudy and rainy apart from the northwest and north.

After a brief calming of the weather, rain will move in again from the north-west in the evening.

The daily highs are between 8 and 13 degrees.

In addition, there will be a moderate to fresh wind blowing from the south-west in the west and south, sometimes with strong gusts.

According to the meteorologists, there can be gusts of wind and severe gusts of wind on the mountains, and hurricane-like gusts on exposed peaks.

It will also remain uncomfortable on Thursday: In the south, prolonged rain is expected in some areas.

The sun shows itself only at times and in certain areas, preferably in the northern regions.

According to the DWD, the temperatures reach maximum values between 8 degrees on the Baltic Sea and 16 degrees on the Upper Rhine.

There can be widespread gusts of wind, sometimes severe gusts of wind from the southwest to the west.

Hurricane-like gusts are expected on the North Sea coast, and hurricane gusts in the crest and summit areas.
