At the farm in Shibecha Town in eastern Hokkaido, the sheep birth season has begun, and cute babies are being born one after another.

At the town-run Shibecha-cho breeding ranch, more than 140 sheep such as "Suffolk", which is characterized by its black head and legs, are bred.

The birth season begins from winter to spring, and about 50 animals have been born since mid-January.

The baby, who weighs about 3 kilograms, looks pretty by drinking her mother's milk and sleeping close to her.

Some babies are just born and have an umbilical cord.

It is expected that about 10 more animals will be born at this ranch by the beginning of next month.

Hiroki Yamazaki, Deputy Director of Shibecha Town Breeding Ranch, said, "I am exercising until just before giving birth, so I am proceeding smoothly without any dystocia. I want you to grow up quickly."

Lambs will be grazed around June.
