On the 14th of Valentine's Day, a pastry shop in Kitakyushu was visited by people who bought the screw-shaped chocolate "Nejichoco", which was developed with the image of "Iron Town".

The pastry shop operated by the company that developed "Nejichoco" in Kokuraminami-ku, Kitakyushu is closed on Mondays, but was open on the 14th to coincide with Valentine's Day.

"Nejichoco" is a product developed in 2016 when the related facilities of the government-run Yahata Steel Works were registered as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. As the name suggests, it is a screw-shaped chocolate.

Originally, it was developed as a souvenir, but recently, while the number of tourists is decreasing due to the influence of the new coronavirus, it is often purchased by locals.

Customers came to the store one after another from the morning to buy chocolates and cakes.

A woman in her 40s who bought the product said, "I bought it for myself and for the people at work. She wants to thank the people who usually take care of her."

President Taishi Yoshitake, a company that manufactures and sells screw chocolate, said, "I want you to hand over the chocolate and foster a human relationship that sticks like a screw and does not separate."
