There are 262 local confirmed cases in this round of Guangxi epidemic (261 in Baise and 1 in Nanning).

  According to the epidemic information reported by the National Health Commission of China, 28 new local confirmed cases were reported in mainland China on the 12th, of which 13 were in Guangxi, 12 in Baise and 1 in Nanning.

One case in Nanning was converted from an asymptomatic infection to a confirmed case.

  On February 4, Debao County, Baise City found a positive case of the new coronavirus nucleic acid test on returnees from Shenzhen, Guangdong Province.

This round of epidemic has affected many counties (cities, districts) in the city.

According to the report, since the outbreak of this round of the epidemic, the number of new local cases in Guangxi has increased by double digits for three consecutive days.

From the 10th to the 12th, the number of new cases was 33, 30, and 13, which has achieved continuous decline.

  Officials said that the current Baise epidemic prevention and control has reached the most critical period.

All 12 counties (cities, districts) of Baise have carried out regional nucleic acid testing.

  According to the Guangxi Health Commission, Baise's front-line anti-epidemic staff made hundreds of calls every day, visited hundreds of households, and traced the origin of the epidemic. They investigated more than 20,000 people and completed more than 10,000 cases within a week. According to the investigation report, more than 10,000 close and sub-close contacts were identified.

Medical personnel have traveled to every village, and the community has collected more than 10 million nucleic acids, providing a scientific basis for judging the epidemic situation.

  As of 12:00 on February 12, a total of 214 local confirmed cases have been reported in Debao County, the most severely affected area.

The world's fastest nucleic acid detection instrument, funded by the counterpart in Pingshan District, Shenzhen, has been delivered to Debao County, helping the local area to realize on-the-go testing of specimens, which greatly meets the current testing needs.

  Li Ping, deputy magistrate of Debao County, introduced in an interview with a reporter from China News Agency that a total of 466 sampling points were set up in the new round of nucleic acid testing in Debao County, and more than 1,400 medical personnel were dispatched.

Door-to-door sampling is carried out for the elderly, children and special groups with limited mobility.
