A minibus crashed on Autobahn 2 near Ingersleben in Saxony-Anhalt.

According to the police on Sunday, nine people were injured, some seriously.

The driver of the car fell into a microsleep early in the morning on the way to Berlin.

Between the Alleringersleben junction and the Lorkberg rest area, the car left the lane to the right, drove into the ditch and stayed on its side.

Of the nine occupants, four were seriously injured and five were slightly injured.

The 41-year-old driver had to give up his driver's license.

He is accused of endangering road traffic and negligent bodily harm.
