Former Deputy Minister of Finance Kiyohiko Toyama (52), who was a member of the Komeito House of Representatives, provided multiple special loans from the Japan Finance Corporation to support companies whose business performance deteriorated due to the impact of the new Corona, without being registered as a money lending business. He was charged at home with three former policy secretaries for violating the Money Lending Business Act, for example, as an intermediary for a company.



Former Senator Toyama's first trial will be held at the Tokyo District Court from 11:00 am on the 14th, and it is expected that he will admit the content of the indictment according to the people concerned.



According to the Tokyo District Public Prosecutor's Office, former Senator Toyama instructed the two public secretaries at that time to introduce the person in charge of the JFC to the company more than 100 times between March and June last year. It means that he was mediating the loan.



At the trial, the focus will be on how former Representative Toyama became involved in illegal mediation and how far the actual situation of working with JFC will be clarified.

Kiyohiko Toyama, a former member of the House of Representatives who served as Deputy Minister of Finance, is accused of violating the Money Lending Business Act.

The beginning was a loan fraud case in which the president of a solar power generation affiliate, "Techno System," was indicted.



The Special Investigation Department is investigating the Japan Finance Corporation's loans to multiple companies such as the techno system on suspicion that Maki Atsushi, a company officer who has not been registered as a money lending business, illegally mediated the loan. I did.



In the process, at the request of Maki officers, it is suspected that a former secretary such as former Senator Toyama had taken over the company that wants a loan to JFC.



The intermediary was a special loan to help companies whose business performance deteriorated due to the new coronavirus.



In August of last year, the Special Investigation Department searched for a consultant company in Tokyo, which was represented by former Representative Toyama, and a member's office to which the former secretary belonged.



According to the people concerned, former Senator Toyama admitted to the investigation by the Special Investigation Department that he had been involved in the mediation of the loan and received about 10 million yen in cash for the purpose of rewards.



And last December, four people, including former Senator Toyama and Maki, were indicted at home for violating the Money Lending Business Act.



Former Representative Toyama commented on the indictment, "We take it seriously and regret it, and sincerely apologize to the people as a person who was in public office."



Last month, the Komeito dismissed former Senator Toyama for damaging the party's honor.
