You had to stay up late to witness his victory.

This Friday evening on TF1, at 11:46 p.m., Clément Gravier was declared the winner of the sixth season of

Ninja Warrior

.

First satisfaction: he is only the second candidate to obtain this title.

Second satisfaction, and certainly the greatest: he beats the score of Jean Tezenas du Montcel who had climbed the rope, 23 meters long, in 32 seconds and 25 hundredths during the fourth season.

This time, Clément Gravier achieved the same feat in 25 seconds and 16 hundredths.

A lot of hope rested on the shoulders of the 23-year-old who had already participated in the previous edition and finished in second place.

During the qualification phases, Clément Gravier had already impressed by climbing the Mega-Wall, which allowed him to pocket 5,000 euros directly.

With his final victory, he adds the trifle of 100,000 euros to his jackpot.

A short-lived world record

At the time the show was taped, his time on the rope event was a world record.

Finally, Clément Gravier can no longer boast of such a record since he was beaten last December by René Casselly: he climbed the rope in 22 seconds and 1 hundredth in the German version of the program.

Asked by our colleagues from

Télé-Loisirs

, Clément and his brother Antoine said they wanted to open “a Ninja and climbing room in the near future” and place part of the 100,000 euros “to invest a little”.

We will probably know more when we see them next year in the seventh season of the show, in which they have already agreed to participate to put their title back on the line.
