The Normandy format is the same dead end as the Minsk agreements.

Yesterday's nine-hour talks, which ended late at night and did not produce any results, confirmed this.

And if you think that Sergei Lavrov, whose patience was tested yesterday by his British counterpart, was the only one who had to waste his time and eloquence, you are mistaken.

Deputy head of the presidential administration Dmitry Kozak also had a long conversation with the deaf and dumb yesterday.

It got to the point that he had to resort to the help of the Cambridge Explanatory Dictionary of the English Language to convince his colleagues that the concepts of "consultation" and "discuss" carry the corresponding semantic load, and not something else.

And that since the Minsk agreements provide for direct contact between Kiev and representatives of the LDNR, then there can be no other, alternative format for this.

The clauses of "Minsk-2" specifically say that the holding of all the events prescribed in the agreement should take place in agreement with the representatives of the LDNR.

And the fact that Zelensky is “not ready to sit at the same table with terrorists” is no reason to rewrite the obligations he has assumed.

It is noteworthy that the position of Kiev is shared by both Berlin and Paris, which also demonstrate an absolute unwillingness to implement the Minsk agreements, not only in full, but even at least their main parameters.

And this, accordingly, leads the already stalemate situation into an even greater impasse.

The most offensive and cynical thing in all this is that it is Russia, which is the only one making every effort to fulfill these “agreements”, which have already become the talk of the town, regularly becomes the main accused of not fulfilling them.

In this connection, it is a pity that the discussions are held in a closed format.

I am sure it would be useful to show live how Kiev sabotages the implementation of the Minsk agreements, and the representatives of France and Germany openly pander to it.

And a demonstration of how the signatories and guarantors are looking for some loopholes in the text of the agreements, with the help of which they hope to deviate from the fulfillment of obligations, or at least once again delay and postpone the process of their implementation, I am sure, would sober up, if not all, then many .

On the other hand, this whole exhausting marathon of running around in circles is aimed at one thing: to force Russia to be the first to withdraw from the negotiation process.

That would allow her to finally and irrevocably appoint the main culprit.

And in everything.

However, we are patient people.

And we are not going to give such a gift to anyone.

Therefore, the "partners" should not count on success in deriving us from ourselves.

Let them finally get acquainted with the text of the agreements.

So as not to present yourself in the same light that Britain did yesterday.

Otherwise, next time our Dmitry Kozak will have to interpret the content and meaning of what has been going on for the eighth year now, not by the dictionary, but by the alphabet.
