Oscar 2022 guests are exempt from submitting proof of the “Corona” vaccine

Reports revealed that guests of the 94th annual Academy Awards will not be required to show proof of their vaccination status against the emerging "Corona" virus before entering.

In return, invitees will only have to submit a negative polymerase chain reaction (PCR), or a rapid antigen test result, on the day of the party, according to a report by The Hollywood Reporter.

The report also stated that the requirements imposed by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences - the organizers of the Oscars - are in line with the latest mandates of the US Department of Health in Los Angeles, where the Oscars will be held.

The Hollywood Reporter noted that other award ceremonies still maintain the ban on unvaccinated attendees, including the Critics' Choice Awards on March 13.

"We'll get 100% vaccinated, and we'll order a negative (PCR) test within 48 hours of the event," said Joel Berlin, chief operating officer of the Critics' Choice Association. "I can't invite people to a show where they won't feel safe."

The Hollywood Reporter also noted that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences currently has vaccination requirements in place for its employees.

This year's Academy Awards will be held on March 27 at the Dolby Theater in the American movie capital, Hollywood.

It is noteworthy that strict regulations were set for testing (Covid-19) at last year’s Oscar ceremony, which was held in Los Angeles, as it witnessed the attendance of only 170 people, which is barely a tenth of the capacity of the “Dolby Theater”, where the award ceremony is usually held every year. .
